Big Magic Creativity & Courage Immersion - Optional Morning Yoga Class

Get grounded for a full day of exploring Big Magic with Elizabeth Gilbert! This optional movement session for an hour of embodied practice will help to work out the kinks and get your creativity flowing.

Yoga asana never tasted so good...In this more advanced series of yin yoga postures, particularly hip openers, we will go even deeper into the mind and body, by exploring and feeling our way into our physical and mental edges, at the same time challenging ourselves to stay focused and present in the moment, through stillness and breath concentration.

Opening up the body, letting go of old tension and stress, opening up the mind, creating more space between the thoughts...and opening up our hearts by FEELING our way into a more calm way of being, while reconnecting to the truth within.

The end result- Total Bliss. Challenging...yet, oh so yummy!

Connecting to the Land: Organic Farming Immersion

This is an immersion for you to enjoy and embrace an authentic Hawaiian farm experience, created especially for the Wanderlust Ohana. Off the beaten path of Oahu and into the back roads of Waimanalo, you will enjoy a full day under the majestic Koolau mountain range on a small organic farm operated by Wanderlust Yoga teacher & musician, Kelly Stern and Paul Izak.

Together you will adventure along the beautiful coastal east side of Oahu to Waimanalo. Tucked in the back of the valley, you will arrive at Yogarden Farm. Yogarden is a local company who's mission is to educate the community in the importance of growing your own food and living a healthy, sustainable lifestyle, through the principles of yoga philosophy and organic farming techniques.

Our farm experience will begin with a refreshing herbal farm beverage to welcome you all to the farm. From there, we will enjoy a walking farm tour exploring tropical fruit trees, organic gardens, a young vanilla orchard, native plants, an operating compost system, root crops, and more. The tour will come to a close in our grassy field, where Kelly Stern will lead us through an outdoor farm yoga flow with live music by Paul Izak & friends.

The Farm-to-Table offering by Yogarden Farm is a must! Following the farm tour and yoga class, we will enjoy a beautiful farm-to-table style lunch. The lunch will be inspired by what is in season and growing abundantly at that time. The meal will be plant-based, gluten free, organic, and delicious… guaranteed.

As lunch is coming to a close, we will offer an educational workshop to 'talk story' about the land, the ancient medicinal foods of Hawaii and our kuleana (responsibility) as humans in this time.

Mālama ka ʻĀina. It is time to give back to the land, to take care of our home. This is your time to give back, to be a karma yogi and offer your loving hands and service to the land of Hawaii. Multiple jobs will be offered at this time to suit anyone's ability. From planting seeds, harvesting olena (turmeric root), to pushing wheel barrels, this is the time for us to connect to the rich Hawaiian soil and share your love.

A full farm day will come to an end with a small farm snack for the bus ride back to turtle bay and an opportunity to take some farm goodies home with you.

We hope you join us for this magical experience together.

Walk In Beauty: Morning Session

To Walk in Beauty means to walk in harmony with all things — not only physically, but also with feelings and our inner wilderness. And with people, objects, animals...with life! Free yourself from whatever entraps you. In this workshop you will learn to open your receptors to perceive the Beauty in and around you and to think and act in a Beauty Way, which completely shifts your perception of life. You move from victim mode — everything bad happens to me — or judging mode — this is great,
this sucks — to curiosity and a desire to discern the truth. Live in a Beauty Way — a way that is exhilarating, fulfilling and fascinating.

This workshop begins with a short, yet very special Ceremony of song, invocation & smoke blessing. Ana & Medicine Man, Jose Calarco set the intent for the practice and honor the ancestors and
custodians of our sacred land.

Blissology EcoKarma

The main work of my life is to make sure that Nature remains the source of our deepest spiritual sustenance. As a surfer, I see the ocean as my temple, my playground, my gym and often our supermarket. We are so intimately connected to the ocean—every tear and every drop of sweat comes and goes from the ocean; every second breath we take is produced by the plankton in our Oceans. Yet, the ocean is in incredible trouble.

Like you, it makes me angry. However, yogic wisdom has helped me transmute my anger into energy for constructive change. EcoKarma is a call for ecologists and yogis to manifest the changes they want to see in the world with integrity and love. Come check out what lights a fire in my heart and discover how we, yogis, can be a positive force on this planet together. If you're ready to walk your talk, let's gather for a beach clean up after the talk and finish the day with a fluid vinyasa yoga practice as well as a ritual that honors our connection to the Ocean.

Through yoga, embodiment practices, meditation and philosophy you will develop insights about how nature is our essential spiritual portal. While your asana practice will gain a fresh context, fluidity and blissful vitality, your heart will feel uplifted and connected to something beautiful.

*Please bring an object you found in nature that means something to you for our Blissology Mandala that we will collectively create as a community at the start of this class. Examples could be fallen leaves, flowers, seeds etc.

Awakening Compassion for Our World

In this meditation we continue cultivating the boundless nature of love in the form of compassion training. When the heart opens with lovingkindness and it encounters suffering, it naturally responds with compassion. In fact, it is innately wired into all of us, this compassionate, caring response. In this practice we will focus on the development of self compassion as well as compassion for others, eventually extending our wishes for the relief of suffering to all beings everywhere, resting in the boundless nature of the radiant heart.

Yoga Adjustments and Assists

In this workshop we use partners and group yoga to explore safe and effective ways to enhance the postures of yoga asana, even when we later do them on our own, whether in classes or in personal practice.
We examine multiple familiar poses, including the standing back bend, standing forward bend, downward facing dog, upward facing dog, and the triangle and revolved triangle poses with partners and in groups, using each other's weight in creative ways to gain direct felt experience of the function of particular muscles and muscles groups. Students will be asked to tap into their own muscular resources to retain the form created or enhanced by the assist, and perhaps repeat the gesture on their own, in order to develop the skills and the muscle memory to continue to perform the gesture more safely, effectively and deeply. You can expect to leave with a transformed capacity for physical accomplishment – and a greater capacity for relaxation and openness to the possibility of a transformation of consciousness in the gestures – via enhanced understanding and physical experience of the muscles involved in each gesture and the optimal ways of engaging these muscles. Teachers will also gain useful tools to apply in assisting, correcting and enhancing the practices of their students and clients.

AIReal Yoga: An Introduction.

AIReal Yoga™ is a play on the word aerial, because it is yoga in the AIR and it Really is yoga. .

In this inclusive class, we will lead you on a soul-satiating journey that allows you to dive deeper into your yoga practice, exploring new space and heightening your mind-body-breath connection. Grounded in the traditions of Hatha Yoga, you will progress through a spectrum of postures, using the hammock as a prop you can hold on to for balance and as a spotting device to safely guide you into postures you might have thought impossible to access. As you elevate your practice, the hammock will allow you to deepen stretches, lengthen and strengthen the entire body, and access a deeper state of relaxation. Class will allow you to flow and fly freely, alleviating tension in the body and sending you into a stress free state-of-mind.

This class is equally beneficial for beginners and advanced students alike as the hammock makes yoga accessible to everybody and every-body.

Learn about the flowing currents of space and time that are likened to the sea, the chiefly surfer who challenged the great waves off of the Cape called Ka Lae o ka Manu, where the hotel now stands, and discover the life-giving waters of the great god Kāne, who, gifted the people of Kawela with life-giving waters that spring forth from the ground! Come share in the culture and spirit of those who came before us and enjoy good company as we wander along to this sacred place called Kawela!

Note: Please bring water, sunscreen, and a hat, and feel free to wear shorts and slippers or reef walkers since we walk on a beach with deep sand; however, a portion of the trail is rocky and can be muddy, plus, it is also an equestrian trail, so please bring footwear that can handle the natural terrain. Yogi Entrepreneur Lab: Moving from Idea to Income

Yoga, meditation, and spiritual practice allow us to transcend traditional ideas, rules and patterns while creating new and more meaningful ones with the use of our imagination. However, what happens when we become over abundant with ideas and don't know which ones to act on . . . or how?

In this session, join yogi and creative entrepreneur, Robindra Mohar, for an opportunity to strategically prioritize and nurture the seeds required for moving from idea's to desired outcome.

Many of us get stuck in quicksand when we begin to put our money goals and idea launch goals to paper.

We love the idea of making a ton of money but as budding entrepreneurs we don't want giant goals to get in the way of you taking inspired action TODAY and celebrating small wins on a daily basis.

We all need to start somewhere. If for example we can focus on making $108 you will begin to "untap" the flow of money.

The flow of creativity once acted upon begins a natural process that will take you on a journey beyond your wildest dreams, but it takes methodical, consistent and daily actions to move things forward.

This workshop will include a 45 minute talk, followed by 10 mins of working individually, followed by another 10 min talk & closing meditation.

Primarily this will be an intermediate/advanced level class with an emphasis on back bending, inversions and a mash-up of the two. If we have time, we'll do a little Q&A at the end about Kula style sequencing (or anything else that floats your boat). And, we'll have fun!

beach, bohemian and luxe. Each pieces of Stacey G Jewelry is created by hand and goes through the hands of at least one artisan. This is what we consider to be true luxury, pieces made with care and intention.

Creative Living Beyond Fear

For years, Elizabeth Gilbert has been meeting people who tell her that they long to live more creative lives, but are somehow blocked by fear — fear of criticism, fear of failure, fear of stepping out of the box, fear of unworthiness, or fear that they don't even have a creative bone in their body.

Using stories from her own life of creative exploration, as well as experiences from her world travels, Gilbert will show how "everyone is invited", and will explain how absolutely everybody — no matter what their background or position in life — can benefit from exploring and expressing their own inherent creativity. She will explain how every human life is a creative endeavor, and that creativity is not just a privilege of artists. Defining a creative life as "any life where your decisions are guided by curiosity instead of fear," Gilbert will open up her audience's imaginations to the possibility of seeing creativity, and their own journeys, in a lighter, more easeful manner.

Yoga Therapy: Posture Clinic

In this workshop we learn how to see the telltale signs of misalignment compensation patterns throughout the body, and to trace them to their origin. We discover how to look for subtle imbalances in the frame and practice by observing these patterns in each other. Then we learn corrective exercises for particular misalignment patterns that are almost universally present, albeit differently in different bodies, in order to manipulate the structure of the pelvis back into balance. This is the "wow" factor, magic show aspect of the workshop, as the corrective effect of these exercises - even on imbalances elsewhere in the body, such as the shoulders and the neck - is immediate and striking. Attendees can expect to leave with an understanding of their own misalignment tendencies and how to correct them, as well as how to assess their own bodies for imbalances on a regular basis. Wellness practitioners can expect to learn powerful tools to help their patients and clients improve posture and balance, achieve pain reduction or elimination, and enhance athletic performance as well as personal physical practices

Vibrational Sound Therapy - Upgrade Your Life

What does it mean to Upgrade Your Life with SuperNova Energetics?! It means to literally raise your entire vibration (energy field) to that of a higher, more positive, healthier level by using the sacred power of the Gongs, Crystal and Tibetan Singing Bowls and more!

It has been scientifically proven that you do indeed have energy centers that are the color of the rainbow (chakras) and an energy field surrounding us (aura). These energies fluctuate each moment depending on your state of heart/mind and the energies around you.

To bring higher, more harmonious frequencies into your energy field naturally helps your energy to vibrate higher and move into a space of self-healing, inner peace & aligning your life path with your dreams. It's easy! All you have to do is lay back and breathe!

Includes a brief instruction on what one might expect during a sound meditation, as well as, how to best receive the sound. There will be a total of about 40-45 minutes of sound.

In the case that we are indoors with AC, bring something warm to be comfortable.

More Benefits of Sound Therapy:
-increase circulation & speeds up healing process,
-stress & anxiety relief,
-pain relief,
-improve symptoms of depression,
-PTSD antidote,
-repair & activate DNA,
-regenerating & anti-aging,
-improve sleep patterns,
-brings more joy & motivation
-clears the mind & sparks creativity.

Prosperity, Abundance & Success Teachings of Kundalini Yoga

Like a candle emits light, a human emits prosperity." –Yogi Bhajan

Yogi Bhajan often shared "Either hustle, go out and get it or meditate and let it come to you"and encouraged his students to be prosperous. He gave us the Kundalini Yoga technology to cultivate a less stressful way to manifest which requires simultaneously working on the ascent and descent and acquiring the higher faculties in all of our chakras.

I learned that in order to manifest we have to be present in our body and connected to the earth. We have to be here now in the flow of life as expressed in our feelings, our breath and our actions. To attract and receive, it is essential to be kind and loving to ourselves because self love is required both to be prosperous and to open our hearts.

In this class we will begin with a 20 minute talk, followed by 40 minutes of yoga movements that will combine a focus on spinal movements, backbends, kriyas and mantra's and pranayama. Followed by a deep relaxation to integrate. The class will close with a meditation focusing our attention, working with visualization and projection. You will be left "high on your own supply" experiencing yourself and commanding your own prosperous magnetism.

Growing your Communi-TREE

What does community mean to you? Have you experienced a space where you feel supported, uplifted, and free to be who you really are? Why do we tend to hide from our true nature, to fit into some "idea" of who society or others think we should be? This is your time to shine and be supported by those around you. In this class we will move through postures singular and as a group. We will experience what it truly means to come together as one.

This class will begin with meditation and progress into an awakening yoga flow combined with group movements, self awareness exercises, and opportunities to let go of false limitations that we have created for ourselves. Let's love, laugh, and support one another as we grow our communi-tree together!

The YinYang of Yoga and Surfing

YinYang relationships are a great part of our lives; they are a delicate balancing act that we get a lifetime to attempt to understand on our paths to perfection. If we're lucky, along the way we may see the journey as joyfully fulfilling even as the destination becomes secondary. Surfing and Yoga appeared as two different paths for me a half a century ago. Then it began to make sense that these paths were parallel. Now they begin to reveal themselves to be perhaps the same path, Yin and Yang.

Join master surfer and Yin Yoga teacher, Gerry Lopez, for this exploration of Yin and Yang.

Indigo: Experience the Art & Alchemy of Natural Indigo Dye

Enter the magical world of indigo alchemy, where you will learn the beautiful and ancient Japanese resist-dyeing technique known as Shibori.

We will show you folded, tied, and bound resist techniques to create your own beautiful indigo scarf. Feel free to get creative and not just use your scarf as a scarf. DIY it into a headband, belt, tube top, or even a pareau.

We will start the class with a little history of indigo. (Fun facts - Did you know it is a plant based dye? Originating in India about 3300 BC?) Our knowledgable staff will then demonstrate dye techniques and be available for one to one assistance. After that the sky's the limit for you to get creative and have fun.

Island Bungalow Hawaii uses only all natural plant based indigo for our workshop. We will provide all the materials needed, just show up and be creative.

Join us for this fun workshop and create a beautiful, ocean loving mobile that you will construct with plastics and other marine debris that has been collected off the beaches of Oahu. For every plastic product produced, there will forever be traces of it somewhere here on earth. Let's REUSE, REDUCE & RECYCLE!

Everything you need to make this eclectic eco mobile will be provided. All materials are scrubbed and sanitized with Mother Earth friendly cleaning agents. Get creative, having intention to cherish Mother Earth and her
blanket of oceans.

About Stacey G Jewelry:
Stacey was born in Laguna Beach, CA, a beautiful, eclectic art community. Her parents were adventurous surf seeking travelers, so her love for all things ocean started early on. She still has her treasured shell collection from years of beach combing. One can find these natural
gems on some of Stacey's most coveted designs. Stacey G Jewelry began out of a time in art therapy and from there grew into a collection of
jewelry that has been sold throughout America, as well as a few stores in Japan, Mexico and France. Her designs have graced the pages of In Style, Elle, Glamour, US Weekly and People Magazines. There was a time that some of the most stylish celebrities were seen wearing
Stacey G Jewelry. Today Stacey lives in Kailua, HI. She keeps her business small and curated. Utilizing natures treasures: gemstones, crystals, vintage shells and coral, Stacey hand crafts a collection that is
beach, bohemian and luxe. Each pieces of Stacey G Jewelry is created by hand and goes through the hands of at least one artisan. This is what we consider to be true luxury, pieces made with care and intention.

Personal & Planetary Recalibration | Kundalini Meditation

Vibrate with the Cosmos. Take into consideration the fact that our state of consciousness and the nature of our choices determine how we use the new energies to co-create a new reality. This workshop is about recalibrating our psyche and establish our personal resonance with the frequency of love that is infusing the planet right now. Heaven on Earth. We will adapt to this new frequency that resonates with the heart chakra. It is our personal responsibility to upgrade our own vibration so that we connect with and operate in this new energy grid of the Aquarian Age. As we release our own fear conditioning and help install a new matrix of love on planet earth together.

This Workshop will begin with a 20min talk on our planetary command that is at our finger-tips and how to upgrade and align our personal energy configuration so that we can thrive and be victorious. Moving from Drama to Dharma. We will move through a 40min yoga set (exercises) and a 11min mantra meditation (a meditation combine with your own personal sound current, voice) Ending in a 10 min deep relaxation. Leaving with clarity, and luminosity to command your destiny.

So many changes are taking place in all of our lives. Our belief systems are shifting as our awareness of truth expands, our circles of friends and family may come and go, the place we call hOMe or that job we used to go to daily may be taking new form. Who we once were is not who we are now, nor is it who we will be tomorrow.

What does it mean that our reality all around and within us is changing? Do we have the power to create our own reality? And, how do we embrace these changes and move into them with confidence?

Whether you know the answers to the questions above or not, You are invited to lay back and journey into the sounds of the cosmos where you can access deeper insight, courage and natural healing to help you with shifting into the reality your heart is yearning for. Join us for one of the easiest forms of meditation with the Gongs, Crystal & Tibetan Singing Bowls and more!
Includes a brief instruction on what one might expect during a sound meditation, as well as, how to best receive the sound. There will be a total of about 40-45 minutes of sound.

In the case that we are indoors with AC, bring something warm to be comfortable.

More Benefits of Sound Therapy:

Declaring Your Dharma - Moving Your Life’s Purpose from Grey Area to Yay Area

What do you fear most in this life? What is your biggest fear right now? When we pose this question to most people the answer is most often that they are afraid that they will die without having fully lived. That they will die without fully sharing their gifts. Our highest calling is tightly nestled right behind our core fear.

When choosing to step into our brightest, biggest and most expanded self, our fears are always triggered and we end up procrastinating or delaying taking action slowing us down.

Join entrepreneur, yogi and new father @Robindra for an interactive conversation about demystifying "dharma", overcoming your fears and living a life in total alignment with your heart. He will share a very tangible process for declaring and owning yours.

"Declaring my dharma and truly owning it was one of the single most pivotal moments of my life and I am committed to helping as many people as possible in discovering and living theirs fully." ~ Robindra

The 8 Principles of Alignment

In this workshop we study and practice yoga according to principles of alignment dictated by human anatomy. We see how two pairs of oppositional actions in the lower body and core and two mirroring actions in the upper body make every pose and movement better, in yoga and in every kind of sport and movement; and we learn how to balance these actions out with each other to customize the practice to ourselves and others according to individual differences. Attendees can expect to leave with a simple but profound set of consistently applicable principles of internal action – not only in yoga but in all physical activities – that will keep them (and, for teachers, their students and clients as well) safer, enhancing their success, satisfaction and longevity of practice.

Ocean Creations: A Marine Debris Mobile Workshop

Join us for this fun workshop and create a beautiful, ocean loving mobile that you will construct with plastics and other marine debris that has been collected off the beaches of Oahu. Using marine debris to create art pieces is a great way to express love of the sea, coastlines and our environment. It gives these destructive materials fresh life and a new purpose.
