The practices of mindfulness and lovingkindness create the foundation to awaken the naturally responsive, open, boundless nature of the heart. In this meditation we will work with the cultivation of this expansiveness of heart in the form of appreciative joy- the capacity to experience joy in relation to the happiness of others as well as within our own lives. We will work with some gentle, simple phrases in meditation to incline the mind towards deep well being and gratitude and uncover our own joyous nature.
Class time devoted to lecture: 11-20 minutes
