Open to everyone! Learn how to be a dynamic fire dancer. In this class, new dancers will learn how to create "flowers" with poi. This class is a contemporary interpretation of an ancient Polynesian tradition, poi balls. Flowers are patterns of extended circles, moving both your arms and your poi through space. To begin, we will work on finding control of the poi at extended arm positions with each arm individually, and progress through different combinations with both arms. The class will cover 3-petal flowers (triquetras), and 4-petal flower variations.

Class time devoted to lecture: 5-10 minutes
